Dear Tattered Angel,
Today, after the completion of a CT scan on your hips we waited in our hospital room for your surgeon to review the results and inform us if the procedure was a success for putting your hip for the first time in an unformed hip socket. After a short wait, your surgeon with a smile that encompassed her face announced, "Perfect! You guys can get out of here." With the good news announced we packed our bags into the car and loaded you into the rear seat. The angle of your spica cast created the situation as before of no car seat that matched the shape of your cast. At the conclusion of a short discussion, we once again placed you in the harness provided to us that straps you to the seat in a prone position. With a dvd loaded into the in car dvd player we traveled home to continue our six weeks of casting until your cast change on the day after the 4th of July.
